About this role

You will contribute to the ScreenSpot Plus project by capturing high-quality screenshots of professional CAD software during realistic expert workflows, annotating interactive user-interface elements, and writing clear natural-language task instructions. The project begins with a pilot phase where submissions are closely reviewed for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to capture guidelines before moving into full production. This role is suited to CAD professionals with strong hands-on knowledge of engineering design software and its day-to-day interface and workflows.

Responsibilities

CAD screenshot capture: Capture clear, high-quality screenshots while performing realistic professional CAD workflows.
UI annotation: Accurately identify and annotate interactive interface elements such as buttons, menus, toolbars, panels, dialogs, and controls.
Task instruction writing: Create concise, natural-language instructions describing how an experienced CAD professional would complete each workflow.
Workflow accuracy: Ensure screenshots and annotations represent realistic engineering and design activities.
Quality control: Follow detailed screenshot, annotation, and submission guidelines consistently.
Pilot participation: Incorporate reviewer feedback during the initial pilot phase and improve submissions before scaling into full production.
Software access: Maintain reliable access to the relevant CAD applications required for screenshot generation.

Qualifications

Hands-on professional experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, Revit, Siemens NX, or comparable CAD platforms.
Strong understanding of everyday CAD workflows, interface navigation, commands, menus, toolbars, panels, and dialogs.
Practical experience creating or modifying engineering, mechanical, architectural, manufacturing, or product-design models using CAD applications.
Excellent attention to detail for screenshot capture and UI element annotation.
Ability to follow precise technical instructions, annotation standards, and quality guidelines.
Strong written English skills for creating clear and natural task instructions.
Reliable access to the CAD software required for the project.
Must be located in the United States or Canada.
