About this role

You will create original multiple-choice questions on Chinese law for an AI evaluation and benchmarking dataset. The role involves developing exam-style legal questions based on your own professional and academic expertise, preparing 10 answer options per question, identifying the correct answer, and writing clear worked solutions explaining the underlying legal reasoning. This is a remote, flexible opportunity suited to Chinese legal professionals with strong knowledge of PRC law and native-level Simplified Chinese proficiency.

Responsibilities

Legal question creation: Develop original, high-quality multiple-choice questions covering relevant areas of Chinese law.
MCQA development: Create exam-style questions with 10 answer choices for each item.
Solution writing: Provide detailed worked solutions explaining the correct answer and relevant legal reasoning.
Legal accuracy: Ensure questions, answer options, and explanations accurately reflect applicable Chinese legal principles.
AI evaluation support: Create challenging legal content suitable for evaluating the reasoning capabilities of advanced AI models.
Content originality: Produce questions based on professional expertise rather than copying existing examinations or published materials.
Quality assurance: Review questions for clarity, accuracy, difficulty, ambiguity, and consistency before submission.

Qualifications

Law degree or recognized Chinese equivalent legal qualification.
Preferably 2+ years of professional legal practice or closely related legal experience.
Strong knowledge of Chinese law and legal reasoning.
Must have been educated in China or currently be based in China, as preferred by the project requirements.
Native-level proficiency in Simplified Chinese, including excellent legal writing skills.
Ability to develop rigorous exam-style legal questions and distinguish between plausible and legally correct answer choices.
Strong analytical skills and ability to explain legal conclusions through structured, well-reasoned solutions.
Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible project environment.
