About this role

CAD and mechanical-design experts to support an AI training project focused on technical drawings, computational geometry, programmatic CAD, and Python. The role involves interpreting dimensioned engineering schematics and converting them into precise 3D solid models while meeting strict geometric and physical requirements. Experts will build reproducible CAD solutions, automate geometry creation with Python, export models in formats such as STEP, and validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties. This is specifically a CAD and mechanical-design role rather than general hardware support or electronics.

CAD Geometry AI Expert

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models.
• Build complex geometry using sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, curved profiles, Boolean operations, and other CAD techniques.
• Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry and export valid, watertight models such as STEP files.
• Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, inertia properties, and troubleshoot differences between expected and generated geometry.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience in 3D CAD or computational geometry.
• Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and accurately reason about complex 3D geometry.
• Experience validating, troubleshooting, and refining CAD models for geometric precision and correctness.
• Strong spatial reasoning, technical problem-solving skills, and ability to produce reproducible solutions in clean technical environments.
