SME Careers is hiring a Computer Science & IT Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across technical AI training projects. The role involves reviewing AI-generated computer science and IT content for technical accuracy, code and systems reasoning, troubleshooting quality, security awareness, terminology, and rubric compliance. You will also support trainer and QA communication, onboarding, documentation, contributor activation, and quality alignment across remote technical teams. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong CS/IT expertise, structured communication skills, and experience managing technical review or QA workflows.

Responsibilities

Spot-check computer science and IT items, identify recurring quality issues, provide feedback, and escalate critical problems.
Review AI-generated code, troubleshooting steps, system-design content, database guidance, networking answers, security content, and technical reasoning for correctness and clarity.
Communicate workflow updates, quality standards, and technical guidelines to trainers and QAs while resolving technical and rubric-related questions.
Maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, calibration tasks, honeypots, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
Conduct onboarding and training, support inactive contributors, flag risky or hallucinated technical recommendations, and improve scalable QA processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development, IT support, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, data workflows, technical education, technical writing, QA, or related review work.
Strong knowledge of programming, algorithms, data structures, operating systems, databases, networking, cloud basics, APIs, debugging, troubleshooting, and security principles.
Ability to evaluate technical content against detailed rubrics and identify incorrect logic, hallucinated commands/APIs, security risks, wrong terminology, unsupported assumptions, or incomplete explanations.
Strong English communication, attention to detail, organization, and comfort working with remote teams and tools such as GitHub, Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, dashboards, and project-management systems.
