About this role

You will support the evaluation and improvement of AI systems designed for healthcare revenue cycle and patient access workflows. The role combines senior-level patient access leadership with AI quality evaluation, covering pre-registration, registration, scheduling, intake coordination, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections. You will review AI-generated outputs, identify workflow or compliance errors, monitor operational quality, and provide structured expert feedback to help improve next-generation healthcare AI systems.

Responsibilities

Patient access operations: Lead end-to-end pre-registration, registration, scheduling, and intake workflows across inpatient and outpatient environments.
AI output evaluation: Review AI-generated patient access content, identify inaccuracies, and provide structured, actionable feedback.
Registration quality: Develop and enforce procedures for registration accuracy, demographic capture, insurance information, and point-of-service collections.
KPI monitoring: Track registration error rates, pre-registration completion, insurance verification accuracy, and front-end denial rates.
Denial prevention: Identify front-end deficiencies that could affect clean claim submission and implement corrective actions.
Cross-functional coordination: Work with billing, clinical, revenue cycle, and IT teams to streamline workflows and reduce downstream claim errors.
Staff development: Train and mentor patient access teams on registration standards, compliance requirements, and system usage.
Compliance: Ensure alignment with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and commercial and government payer requirements.
AI training support: Document observations, annotate AI-generated outputs, and contribute structured feedback to AI training datasets.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in patient access, patient registration, front-end revenue cycle management, or a closely related healthcare operations function.
At least 2 years of experience in a manager, director, or comparable leadership role.
Deep knowledge of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling, patient intake, and point-of-service collections.
Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS regulations, commercial payer requirements, and government payer processes.
Proficiency with healthcare systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or comparable EHR and registration platforms.
Strong understanding of front-end denial prevention and clean-claim workflows.
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in workflows, operational data, or AI-generated outputs.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Must be based in the United States.
