About this role

ML Research PhD Expert responsible for contributing advanced machine learning research expertise to frontier AI initiatives. The role is designed for researchers with demonstrated algorithmic innovation and peer-reviewed publications at leading ML conferences such as ICML, NeurIPS, or ICLR. Experts will apply deep research knowledge across areas such as reinforcement learning, meta-learning, recursive self-improvement, and AI for Science while supporting high-priority research and evaluation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Contribute expertise to frontier machine learning research initiatives.
Analyze and develop advanced ML algorithms and research methodologies.
Apply original research experience to complex and open-ended ML problems.
Support research involving reinforcement learning, meta-learning, and self-improving AI systems.
Contribute insights from state-of-the-art academic ML research.
Participate in accelerated research pilots requiring rigorous technical analysis and fast turnaround.

Qualifications

PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.
At least 1 main-conference publication at ICML, NeurIPS, or ICLR is mandatory.
2+ publications at these conferences strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience conducting original machine learning research.
Proven contributions involving algorithmic innovation rather than primarily applied analytics.
Research expertise in Reinforcement Learning, Meta-Learning, Recursive Self-Improvement, or AI for Science is preferred.
Strong record of advancing state-of-the-art machine learning research.
