About this role

You will contribute clinical expertise to an AI safety benchmark evaluating how companion chatbots respond to adolescents experiencing mental health challenges. | The role involves designing realistic fictional clinical scenarios, developing evaluation rubrics, and reviewing AI-generated conversations. | Key focus areas include suicide and self-harm risk, inappropriate therapeutic guidance, and emotional dependency on AI systems. | This is a remote, part-time advisory opportunity for experienced U.S.-based clinicians and mental health researchers.

Responsibilities

Author fictional adolescent mental health scenarios grounded in clinical practice and developmental appropriateness.
Develop and refine clinician-informed rubrics for evaluating AI chatbot safety and response quality.
Review AI-generated conversations involving suicide risk, self-harm, therapeutic guidance, and parasocial attachment.
Provide structured clinical feedback to calibrate automated evaluation systems and improve AI safety benchmarks.

Qualifications

MD, DO, PhD, PsyD, or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
Clinical or research experience focused specifically on children and adolescents.
Expertise in areas such as suicide prevention, self-harm assessment, child psychiatry, clinical child psychology, digital mental health, CBT, or DBT.
Strong written communication and ability to evaluate fictional clinical scenarios and AI-generated conversations using structured criteria.
